Do I need to switch my long distance carrier to ConnectTo?
Yes, ConnectTo will switch you over. You do not need to contact your local or previous long distance carrier. Once you give us your consent to switch to us, we will take care of it from there. If you would like to use our services and take advantage of our great services, but do not wish for ConnectTo to be your direct-dial long distance carrier, let us know and we will advise of dial around services.
Will I receive bills from ConnectTo?
Yes you will receive invoices for services utilized by ConnectTo Communications. If ConnectTo is your local and long distance carrier, you will only receive a bill from ConnectTo for all of your phone calls.

Will my account be charged for unanswered calls?
No, your account will not be charged for calls that are unanswered. If your destination number has an answering device or voicemail service, the call might incur a charge to your account.
Will I get credit for 1-minute calls?
Yes, for calls to certain countries with older telephone systems who do not send correct signaling, we are charged for those calls, and in turn charge our customers. But if you feel you did not speak those 1-minute calls, please call our customer service department before the due date and ask for a credit. Credits will be issued to calls made to specific country land lines.
Can I make purchases with a check?

What if I lose my PIN?
If you happen to forget your PIN number, there are two things that you can do:
Login to your account with your username and password from our homepage. Once in your "My Account" page, information regarding your account will be listed including your PIN number.
If you forgot your username and password, click on "Forgot your password," or write to us at csr@ConnectTo.com. Verification of your full name, home telephone number, and home address is necessary in order to disclose confidential information.
How can I update my account information?
You may login to your account online to make the necessary corrections, or you can email us at csr@ConnectTo.com with the corrections. We will complete your request within 24hrs.
How are my calls calculated and billed?
Calls are calculated based on 1-minute increments. Any fraction of a minute will be rounded up to the next full minute. All minutes used are deducted according to each country rate. Note: Calling to mobile phones may result in a higher rate.
What should I do in case I find a billing error?
If you find an error in your account billing, please report the error to csr@ConnectTo.com. Please include a detail account of the problem that occurred. An experienced customer relations representative will be in contact with you within 24-hours.
Payphone Surcharge
FCC regulations require payphone operators to implement a surcharge for pre-paid calling card users. The payphone will send a signal to our computer system informing the computer to charge for the connection. Some university dormitories and hotels are also sending the same signal to our computer system, which then implements a surcharge upon connection. Payphone surcharge is $0.79 per call.
What is slamming?
Slamming means that your local or long distance carrier has been changed without your knowledge and authorization. If you’ve been slammed, you will receive invoices from a different carrier. You need to contact the slamming company and demand your account be closed immediately. You may also contact ConnectTo’s customer service department about this activity so that we may help you. We will also file a complaint against the slamming company with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) against this fraudulent activity. Slamming companies fraudulently disguise themselves as your current carrier and try to convince consumers into selling various products and services from other carriers. If it sounds too good to be true, be warned.
How can I protect myself against being slammed?
Your local carrier, namely ConnectTo, can place a service freeze on your phone, free of charge. This is to prevent long distance services from being switch without your consent. Once a freeze is in place, you can still make changes to your services or your service providers by contacting ConnectTo, as your local provider.
What is a service freeze?
A service freeze can help protect your from slammers. It prevents your local phone service provide, and/or your long distance provider from being changed by anyone but you.
How do I remove a PIC Freeze from my account?
You need to contact your local service provider. ConnectTo customer service representatives are always available to assist you should you have any questions.
How does the referral Program work?
It works in a very simple way. For example:
Diana introduced five of her friends by sending http://www.connectto.com with her email address. Every one of them became customers of www.connectto.com. I got disconnected in the middle of my call, why did this happen!?
This can happen for a variety of reasons. We only allow calls to last a maximum of 60 minutes at which time the system will disconnect you. It is also possible that the problem happened at the destination, this is not uncommon when calling internationally.
Do my calls travel over the Internet?
ConnectTo uses high quality digital lines to complete your calls. We do not route your calls over the public Internet in order to ensure high quality with a high completion rate.
